Every Action Counts has recruited and trained over
1000 volunteers across the UK. We are here to
support you to be the best community champion ever.
And also to spread the message about how to go green in your community. |
What is an Every Action Counts Community Champion?
A Community Champion is someone who encourages local community group, clubs and societies, to take small actions, by creating an action plan to create a more sustainable future.
What do Community Champions do?
Your Community Champion will arrange to visit your groups and take you through the Every Action Counts process, which has 4 stages.
1.- Presentation of Every Action Counts, who is involved, what you could do to help and why your group should be involved. It is low tech and suitable for small groups of people.
2.- Your group will be asked to take stock of what they are doing already. Many groups may well have done quite a lot of work on reducing their impact on the planet, which is great. This stage captures the current picture and shows you what to do next.
3.- Your group then decides which area to tackle first, using a unique game which includes everyone.
4.- You will then produce your group’s very own action plan with actions that you have decided are important to your group.
